Five ways to photograph your listings like a pro

Five ways to photograph your listings like a pro

Good photos reduce messages and returns. You don’t need a studio — just a few habits that make your pieces look as good as they are.

1. Chase soft daylight

Shoot next to a window during the day. Turn off harsh overhead lights that tint colours. If the fabric is black or navy, slightly brighter light helps texture show up.

2. Keep the backdrop simple

A plain wall, door, or bedsheet works. Busy backgrounds distract from fit and colour. Lay flats on the floor for accessories and shoes — shoot straight down.

3. Show front, back, and detail

Include the brand tag, care label, and any wear you mention in the description. Buyers zoom — beat them to it with clear shots.

4. Hint at fit

A hanger shot plus one on-body or flat measurement photo answers “how big is this?” faster than ten chat messages.

5. Don’t hide flaws

A close-up of a small stain builds trust. Surprises after delivery hurt ratings — honesty sells.
