Circularity starts with wear
Every listing on Niutoyu gives clothing another season — fewer new garments produced for the same wardrobe outcome. Here’s how we think about impact, practically.
We're not here to greenwash: shipping still has a footprint, and washing matters. What peer-to-peer fashion does well is extend active use — the lever studies consistently rank among the highest for reducing clothing's climate impact per wear.
Our job is to make resale tempting enough that the easy option isn't another impulse buy — better listings, fair prices, and trust between strangers.
What you can do
Buy pre-loved first
Search second-hand before defaulting to new — especially for trends you’ll wear briefly.
Care for fibres
Cold washes, air drying, and gentle detergents keep pieces wearable longer.
Ship with reuse
Clean boxes and mailers get a second trip; pad items so they don’t bounce back as returns.
Describe honestly
Accurate condition notes prevent disappointed buyers and wasted courier trips.
